Mt. Pleasant, SC September 2, 2015-- Allen has over 35 years of experience in maintenance and reliability in the primary metals industry, from an apprentice industrial electrician, planning and scheduling manager, to maintenance general supervisor in a plant that has a well-documented and very effective “proactive” maintenance organization. In 2007 Mt. Holly was selected as the winner of the North American Maintenance Excellence “NAME” Award.
As a practitioner in a proactive maintenance organization, Allen utilized some of the more advanced reliability tools that most have only heard about including: zero based budgeting, cost accounting at the shop floor, advance electrical predictive maintenance, certified world class planning and scheduling, as well as MRO material kitting and wrench time improvement efforts. Because Allen has applied these techniques from concept to realization of benefits, he is able to coach students through the challenges and pitfalls to enable success.
Allen is a full-time Coach who will be mentoring students as they complete Eruditio’s novel approach to reliability engineering, planning and scheduling learning paths. Allen will also support The Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals as they refine the SMRP Body of Knowledge.
“We are so excited to have Allen’s awesome experience and history of using the reliability tools as a part of our coaching staff. Our students will benefit immensely from his engaging approach and practical understanding of best practices and when to apply them to drive improvements in reliability” said Shon Isenhour, Partner with Eruditio LLC.
